well well well... today the compilation of PowerD in itself completed without any errors/warnings... this means, it should produce code... it just depends, how the generated code will be usable... there was lots of AmigaE functions to be rewritten to PowerD, and these can cause some minor troubles, but when the code is once generated, it can be fixed.

anyway this milestone is the most important one, and i hope, soon i will release a first alpha version of PowerD to public.

hello everybody!

the first pass (scan), including the preprocessing works flawlessly. this required only few hours of rewriting some simple parts of code (from AmigaE to PowerD), but it seams to work okay... most of the errors of the second (writing) pass has been eliminated, but new issues appeared.

to get here, old PowerD required a small upgrade (it's difficult to co-develop two simmilar projects with slight changes :P), and now the old compiler makes programming even nicer/simpler. when more of such changes will appear, i will inform you, and re-release the old compiler to get atleast something, until the new version will be done.

the development is made with my pegasos2 machine, but i lack the enforcer there, so i will partly continue the development on my a4000 to be able to find illegal hits.

hello all the ppl interested in PowerD... after so many years without any updates i redesigned the weblook to look as a blog, with hope, that from now it will be simplier to communicate with all the other developers, it will be possible to talk about all the problems, bugs, ideas, releases etc, etc...

PowerD still won't be released for some time.. the reason is, that i'm completely rewriting it into itself, and this will take some time (as it's written in AmigaE). when it will be able to recompile itself, and will be able to produce a code, i will release the first new PowerD bundle. The rewriting is now at about 10% if it's completion, this means, that about 1/3 of the whole PowerD source code is recognised by PowerD without any troubles (without any too big troubles) :) when about 30% will be done, it will make the scanning pass without (big) troubles. 60% will mean, that PowerD became again executable (probably with bugs), and 90% will mean, it should produce all types of code almost as it has been done before.

100% (will it ever happen?) will mean, PowerD is as usable, as it was, and new features can be added... i hope, this will be the time i will be able to communicate with you all about all the stuff concerned to the new PowerD...

now it's ofocurse possible to talk about the old PowerD and to collect ideas about the new one. hope, this blog will satisfy you.
